Putting thumbtacks in your chocolate sauce

What's up, flist?

I'm not up to much, really. Trying to finish writing all of these WIPs I've got in my folder, as well as preparing myself mentally for when school starts again this Monday.

However, I have had certain ~thoughts~ about a certain girl named Fabray lately:





There's a homo explosion happening all over that girl!!!

Ahem. So, allow me to completely rewrite the entire first season of Glee, yes?

Meet Quinn Fabray.

Snarky art-loving girl who just happens to be the only other out person at McKinley High besides Kurt Hummel. After helping him climb out of a dumpster one day, the two of them bond over being ~fabulous~ in a place where no one seems to appreciate that particular quality for some reason. Although they basically don't agree on anything from fashion to music, they still got each others back if anything particular nasty should happen. It becomes a sort of silent agreement between them.

She lives together with her mother; her parents divorced a year prior to season 1. The relationship between Quinn and her mother is strained, but Judy tries to be as good a mother as she can, although it isn't easy. Her daughter can be incredibly stubborn when she wants to be.

Quinn strikes up a tentative friendship with Santana, captain of the Cheerios, and Brittany mid-season, seeing as Santana is struggling with her own sexuality and the prospect of having someone else to talk to about it is something Santana grudgingly needs. To her delight, the black-haired girl finds someone else who she can check out Cheerios' behinds together with.

Quinn eventually joins the Glee club, mostly because she was initially under the impression she could sneak off and have a smoke under the bleachers with no problem during class, but no such luck. She uses her time reading books and making snide remarks instead (~le gasp~, so different from canon!Quinn, I know!), although she has a tendency to be unashamedly flirty when it comes to Rachel; it's worth it, just to see her and Finn's reactions.

Besides, it's not like she has a *crush* on Berry or anything...

Nope, not at all.

And that's what you missed on the Queer Fabray Show, erh, I mean -- Glee!

Uh-huh. 

So, I'm guessing it'll be a little like this:

Quinn-Can-Always-Go-Gay : Utena. The hair. Nuff said.
Rachel : erh, Wakaba? Quirky personality and has some fairly odd fascination with a guy that isn't the nicest around. 
Finn : Saionji. Finn may not physically hurt women, but he sure does have his douchebag moments. Hence the nomination as Saionji. Also, complicated friendship with a certain Jewish boy.
Puck : Touga. They both like to stick their dicks in things. Nuff said. 
Santana : Juri *and* Kozue. I see Santana as being a mix of both their personalities. 
Brittany : Chu-Chu. They both say a lot of clever things. Too bad no one understands them. 
Artie : Miki. Comes off as nice to begin with, but the more you get to know him, the more messed up you start to suspect he actually is. 
Tina : Anthy. Says next to nothing, and no one cares about her opinion anyways.
Wait... does that mean we should all start shipping Quinn/Tina? Quinntina? 

Erh......

Okay, so, not really. That was me being the opposite of serious. :P

But, seriously, what's up with new hair colour?! And "Hell Is So Hot Right Now"? Ooh, has Quinnie been sinning after she got back from New York? Perhaps making out with either Santana/Brittany and/or Rachel? Looking forward to whatever the hell *that* storyline is going to be about, because, really, I love everything you choose your sweet teenage rebel ass to be, Quinn! :D It's very entertaining to watch, I assure you. Also, I just really like your ass. Period.  

Bottom line, tho: 

LJ, I am still alive... I think? I just have to survive till next Thursday....

So, what else has been going on: Tumblr has sucked me in and made me its unwilling victim. I *tried* fighting it, but... there's a ton of pictures of very pretty girls there! How was I supposed to resist?

I want to indulge in writing a lot of fic too, but, again, no chance of doing that till next week at some point.

In other news, season 2 of Pretty Little Liars is near! Definitely looking forward to that. True Blood will be making its return with its fourth season too. That means I'll get my babyvamp back! Jessica, I heart you so! <3 I think I might watch a couple of episodes of Game of Thrones next week, once things calm down a bit. Looks like a show I could get really into.

Hearing this only makes me want to revisit Utena -- I *love* that goddamn anime.

Someone, talk to me about this ep! About Santana being Santana! What you want to see happen now! About all the (confusing) Faberry action going on as well! 

PS: Santana and Brittany for Prom Queen and King Queen, y/y? They'd compete against Finn and Quinn for the title and it'd be *glorious!*

PPS: "Afternoon Delight" is really kind of a perverted song, isn't it? Surprisingly so. 

So, the thing with Glee is... 

Whatever the Glee fandom is putting out there of fics and vids is far superior to whatever Ryan Murphy and Co. are coming up with on the screen. Seems like that's just how it is and has always been. 

Which means there's nothing quite like coming across something which could have been taken directly from your own brain. It's kind of very reaffirming to find out that some people out there are thinking along the same lines as you when it comes to certain things. So, LFTMFifteen, thank you for making this. :)

I am in serious need to read the accompanying fic for this now.

Skins. I actually rather enjoyed the second ep, Rich. The third ep, Mini, on the other hand -- while not atrocious in any way, it was certainly not among the strongest or best the series could offer us. Let's wait and see how the following episodes are going to be. On the US front: Britne Overford (Cadie) is the strongest actress out of the entire cast at the current moment, y/y? Tony and Abbud continue to annoy me. Eleanor Zichy as Eura came across as being more, y'know, 'speshul' than enigmatic in that scene with Cadie. 

Still going to continue watching it, though.

In other news, have watched the first three episodes of Fringe's first season. And I'm definitely hanging around - hoping to marathon my way through it when I get the chance. Also, Anna Torv is just my cup of tea, so yes plz. ;)
