Glee. 2x18: Born This Way.

Bully Whips -- fuck yeah, this is how you wanna dress like if you wanna appear straight! Whut!

- Man boobs and moustache! Santana's got a little artist in her like Quinn.
- "I'm a closeted lesbian *and* a judgemental bitch, which means one thing: I've got awesome gaydar!"
Hmm, I have thoughts about the line. It seems to be a case of:  'is this the *character* Santana's own thoughts or are they the ones voiced by the *writers* as being the character Santana's own thoughts? There is a difference, obviously.
- Oh my god, Santana -staring- at Brittany from a distance. "Why won't you love meeeee?"
- LOL, Blaine smiling at her as she goes "I've gotta gay... go."
- When Emma is talking about the t-shirts they are going to wear, the only two persons we focus on are Rachel and Santana and when the focus switches to Santana is the exact moment when Emma says "... because you were born that way." Coincidence?
- I really liked the Rachel/Quinn duet. Their voices played beautifully off each other. It was the sound of two girls in harmony. If you catch my drift. ;) Also, they sit next to each other during some kind of class. Someone, write fic!
- SANTANA/KAROFSKY! Being beards! "We play on the same team." Okay, loved that scene!
- LOL, Mercedes and Santana's *faces* when Mike and Tina start making out.
- Shut uuuuppp, Will! Ugh!
- Oh god, Santana mouthing Karofsky's lines. Lol. "And then something funny happened. Something called... 'love'." And Brittany's *face* right afterwards! Great scene. :)
- Hmm... I found the Kurt song really unnecessary. :-/
- And, yeah... the same thing about the Lucy Caboosey thing: it felt like they just needed an excuse to come up with *some* kind of backstory as to *why* Quinn has been presented as such an insecure girl throughout the series. Which I've always seen as being firmly rooted in the fact that her family is the way it is, coupled with the image of being the young perfect Christian girl who isn't allowed to make any mistakes which she's always had to uphold. I felt the 'ugly-duckling-turned-beautiful-but-is-still-insecure' story was just... unnecessary.
- That was an Ellen joke, right? Lebanese?
- "I *do* love you. Clearly you don't love you as much as I do or you'd put the shirt on and dance with me."
Santana shows up wearing the shirt, 'cause her baby told her to do it! Aaawww! She loves you, you stoopid fool!
- Chris Colfer should leave his hair more messed up in the future! It really suits him.
- I appreciate that the writers didn't make Santana go up there, seeing as she obviously wasn't ready to do it or felt comfortable performing the song. It would have felt incredibly forced.

All in all: this ep gave Santana and Karofsky a little character development, Kurt came back and Quinn and Rachel should really sing some more duets together!

"GAAAAYYYYY -- GOOOOOOO!" Also, Santana obviously isn't Lebanese! She's Russian!

~LIKE A BOSS!~

I wanted to give both Karofsky and Santana a hug here. Look at her looking down at her t-shirt with that sad!face! And look at him!

ETA: Song Spoiler!

In next week's episode, Rumours, Naya Rivera is going to sing "Songbird".

She's going to sing this while looking directly at Brittany with tears in her eyes, right? Right?! Why else would she perform it?

If she does, I'm going to go like this, I have no shame:

i dont even know what to write at the minute as i've only just-ish finished watching the ep, so i don't have and coherent thoughts!!

but if she doesn't sing that staring at brittany i hope she sings it and we see her watching Brit from a distance down the hall or at lunch, whatever, coz i love that!! :D

She'll either do that or we *will* get some Brittana interaction! Either way, I think I'll go all wobbly lip when Naya sings that song, because this is the best we've heard Naya's voice sound, imo. Of course it doesn't compare to Eva Cassidy's version, but it's still brilliant! :D

I mean, it's like a big *huge* love declaration! There's no way it can be misinterpreted, when someone sings that song! :D

Part of me wanted to see angsty!Santana sing Gold Dust Woman, buuuuut Songbird is probably the more appropriate choice considering the direction they seem to be taking her character lol

Oh man! Gold Dust Woman would be great! Why didn't I think of that one? But then again, I'd also love a version of The Chain, if we're talking Fleetwood Mac, because that song just gives me good chills. ;)

I think Songbird was a good choice for a song. Naya's voice fits it. But I'm happy either way - as long as Naya gets a solo song, all is well. :)

The Chain is a good one, but I see it more as a group song instead of a solo. I would say that's the one that the club will sing together, but it'll probably be Don't Stop.

Haha, yes, Naya solos are definitely what matters the most :)

The only question would be whether they can pull it off, is all I'm thinking. ;) Yeah, I think so to - I believe you're right.

More Naya solos and more Dianna/Lea duets since they've shown that they *can* sing together. :P

Certainly a point of concern. I mean, I'm super excited at the prospect of watching a Fleetwood Mac themed episode. They're one of my favorite bands. But at the same time, if the glee folks do it wrong, I'll be upset.

I thought the Dianna/Lea duet was the best song of the night. Probably one of the better songs on the show. They did a really good job with it.

I like me some Fleetwood Mac songs, so - let's keep our fingers crossed together then that they don't do it wrong. ;)

I agree. It was actually a good mash-up, unlike the others they've had, in my opinion.

San and Dave look so lonely, those two are the only characters I truly 'buy'.

I'll be watching the next ep with my mom and she has no idea I'm Lebanese so I can't break down and cry or run around squeeing like I totally will want to when she sings this.

Karofsky and Santana are the ones who are worth paying attention to at the moment, I agree. Santana in particular - she's the most interesting character on the show for now, imo. I'm looking forward to seeing where they are going to take her storyline.

Boo. No option to subtly wear a Lebanese t-shirt? You can watch the ep later on your laptop and squee to your heart's content, maybe? ;)

Btw, love your icon. ;) Those berets...
