"Agent Dunham, are you high?"

What we've learned from the first season of Fringe:
- Olivia looks very pretty with bruises. Also, she swaggers like whoa!
- Olivia likes to strip down to her underwear and float around in a tank with electrodes attached to her head.
- Olivia drinks whiskey like a pro. Respect.
- Olivia isn't that talented in the kitchen. She's too busy rescuing the world, y'all, to worry about culinary experiences.
- Olivia has inappropriate chemistry with her sister. And she acts like a genuine fierce momma lion around her niece.
- Olivia has been nicknamed Han (i.e. Han Solo) because she was *that* much of a lone wolf at one point in her life and most certainly still is.
- Olivia kicks ass and still has time to be protective when it comes to sickly pale children. And redhead twins.
- **SPOILER**: Olivia has ~mindsex~ with a stripper. With accompanying gasps and everything.
So, just from this - you should totally be watching Fringe. Really. ;)

Name the 5 creepiest episodes/scenes/chapters etc. from your fandoms.
What one person finds creepy isn't creepy in someone else's eyes. Your mileage of creepy may vary.
- "The Gift" - (BtVS).
What's creepy about the final episode of BtVS's fifth season, you might ask? Well, only the part where Giles chokes Ben to death in order to make sure Glory won't make a reappearance. The creepy thing is witnessing a likeable character *do* something like that, and the question that consequently arises from the act: how much of Ripper is still left in that grey-haired librarian who's willing to risk whatever it takes in order to protect the rest of the world? And most importantly - is he going to lose whatever essentially makes *up* Rupert Giles in the battle between good and evil?
- "Bushwhacked" - (Firefly).
Ah, nothing like the threat of getting raped and mutilated in the worst possible manner ever to get your blood pumping. But the threat of getting attacked by the Reavers is just the backdrop for the creepy in this episode - what gets me is the claustrophobia one would feel so acutely inside a drifting space ship. And the only thing you would be greeted with when looking out the windows would be the blackness of a surrounding cosmos, always and forever deaf to your pain. There's a reason Alien is as great a movie as it is. ;)
- "Kraven's Last Hunt" - (Spiderman).
SPOILERS for "Kraven's Last Hunt". This comic book story line is one of the best I've had the pleasure of reading at the age of 13-14 and one that has stuck with me years later: what's just messed up about it is the *way* Kraven lets Spiderman know how he has finally defeated him, once and for all - he "kills" him and let's him wake up in a coffin a few days later. Spiderman claws his way up out of the earth, traumatised by the entire ordeal (shown explicitely when he's forced to go down into the sewers to fight Vermin), and the only thing Kraven has to answer with when he is finally confronted is a battle-worn smile. Because he knows and we as readers know the truth of it all - he *actually* succeeded in killing the creature that is Spiderman and everything Spiderman stands for. Spiderman 'dies' and is allowed to return only to have that fact smeared in his face. It's not very nice of Kraven to do, actually. :/
- "The Rose Signet" - (Shoujo Kakumei Utena).
"Beware! Beware! The witch is still somewhere in this world...You too, beware!" The camera goes from Utena's face to showing that of Anthy's passive-aggressively smiling countenance. If I had been Utena in this scene I would have gone flying out of my seat, screaming in sheer horror like the girl I am. D:
- Majora's Mask - (The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask).
Dude. That mask and the moon were *scary*. Don't laugh at me. >_<
Also, this should help you get paranoid if you already weren't to start with when it comes to this video game: youshouldnthavedonethat.net
Enjoy.

Date: 2010-10-28 02:09 pm (UTC)I think the kiss worked in the context it was presented in - the thing with sharing someone else's mind was very much a theme in the first season and Olivia had done it before, so it wasn't that weird when it was introduced yet again in this episode.
Plus, the Olivia Dunham in *my* head actually visits strip clubs from time to time. She may get frisky with the girls there too. <.<
