fembuck says everything that needs saying here and the sketchycloaks.tumblr.com hilarious podcast about season 3's opening episode is *so* very much worth giving a listen! Basically, I couldn't agree more with them if I tried.
- So, I'm currently working on a ShizNat fic, right, and browsing through some 80's hits playlists while doing so, which isn't an unlikely thing for me to do, really, and so I end up listening to Steve Winwood's Valerie and, well... now I keep replacing the Va-le-rie with Na-tsu-ki instead! I've taken the liberty of changing the parts that I see fit: it should go With her hands on her bike, So cool, she was like/Tea on a winter's day, and I'm the same girl I used to be (or should that be 'sane girl I used to be?' ;D) instead - now the song makes more ShizNat sense! Somehow I've also ended up with the accompanying mental images from this - Shizuru channelling some serious High School Musical spirit at Natsuki's spot near the seaside, with waves crashing against the cliffs while she's singing, all Zac Efron enthusiastic and shit! Epic!
There isn't a Mai-HiME musical fanfic where the cast only sing 80's hits to each other, is there? Huh? What do you mean "no"?

It would be horribly *good*, you mean. ;P I already know which song Natsuki should melodramatically perform. Yes, this is how I amuse myself - imagining 80's musical AU for this fandom. I feel so alooone. *snicker* ;D
