• So, there's this cartoon show called Adventure Time? And having no preceding knowledge of the show, I watched this episode of it, "What Was Missing," and --- uh, let's just say that a lot of things went down after it aired regarding the pairing of Marceline/Princess Bubblegum, okay? I suggest you watch the episode first of all. Then there's a timeline post of the events that followed and someone sums up their feelings on what went down during "What Was Missing."

I'll be keeping an eye out for what is going to happen next. 
 

What's up, flist?

I'm not up to much, really. Trying to finish writing all of these WIPs I've got in my folder, as well as preparing myself mentally for when school starts again this Monday.

However, I have had certain ~thoughts~ about a certain girl named Fabray lately:





There's a homo explosion happening all over that girl!!!

Ahem. So, allow me to completely rewrite the entire first season of Glee, yes?

Meet Quinn Fabray.

Snarky art-loving girl who just happens to be the only other out person at McKinley High besides Kurt Hummel. After helping him climb out of a dumpster one day, the two of them bond over being ~fabulous~ in a place where no one seems to appreciate that particular quality for some reason. Although they basically don't agree on anything from fashion to music, they still got each others back if anything particular nasty should happen. It becomes a sort of silent agreement between them.

She lives together with her mother; her parents divorced a year prior to season 1. The relationship between Quinn and her mother is strained, but Judy tries to be as good a mother as she can, although it isn't easy. Her daughter can be incredibly stubborn when she wants to be.

Quinn strikes up a tentative friendship with Santana, captain of the Cheerios, and Brittany mid-season, seeing as Santana is struggling with her own sexuality and the prospect of having someone else to talk to about it is something Santana grudgingly needs. To her delight, the black-haired girl finds someone else who she can check out Cheerios' behinds together with.

Quinn eventually joins the Glee club, mostly because she was initially under the impression she could sneak off and have a smoke under the bleachers with no problem during class, but no such luck. She uses her time reading books and making snide remarks instead (~le gasp~, so different from canon!Quinn, I know!), although she has a tendency to be unashamedly flirty when it comes to Rachel; it's worth it, just to see her and Finn's reactions.

Besides, it's not like she has a *crush* on Berry or anything...

Nope, not at all.

And that's what you missed on the Queer Fabray Show, erh, I mean -- Glee!

So, what else has been going on: Tumblr has sucked me in and made me its unwilling victim. I *tried* fighting it, but... there's a ton of pictures of very pretty girls there! How was I supposed to resist?

I want to indulge in writing a lot of fic too, but, again, no chance of doing that till next week at some point.

In other news, season 2 of Pretty Little Liars is near! Definitely looking forward to that. True Blood will be making its return with its fourth season too. That means I'll get my babyvamp back! Jessica, I heart you so! <3 I think I might watch a couple of episodes of Game of Thrones next week, once things calm down a bit. Looks like a show I could get really into.

Oh hai, interwebz! Whaz up?

I've just resurfaced from finishing a much too long assignment, but it's over and done with now and I'm free as a bird and ready to play! :D I hope everybody had a nice Christmas. As for New Year's resolutions, *I* for one am going to finish some goddamn *fic* this year, that's for sure! I'm determined! Lo and behold, this is my Determined Face: >:❘

The 2011 New Year's Resolution Challenge is open!  The NYR Challenge lets anyone write and upload a story of ANY length, inspired by any of the Yuletide 2010 prompts, including those of our non-participant pinch hitters. Just make sure to add the recipient name of the Yuletider whose prompt you use. And the deadline is until the next sign up for Yuletide, which is in November this year, so -- that's a lot of time (she said and believed it in her heart of hearts...). I have my eyes set on one or two prompts, so... I guess we'll see what happens. :P

 - Just read Batwoman: Elegy. Sweet baby Jesus, the *art!* And the story, and Kate Kane is the most fierce redhead in all of the DC Comics universe! But I can't find *any* Kate Kane/Renee Montoya fic! Where is it?! Since I'm hooked I've gone on the hunt for the other comics I need to supplement with: from what I can see it seems that I should check Gotham Central and 52 out. Maybe when X-mas comes around I can get them - I don't have any money right now. :/ 

I've come across this The Batwoman Index, which is a running index of all of the Batwoman's appearances in canon. Quite helpful in the meantime. 

PS: Holy shit, is Kate wearing a 69 Eyes t-shirt in that flashback scene, just before she meets Renee? It's official, Batwoman is the motherfucking coolest superheroine *ever*!
