For thevera. Prompt: Dawn/any Buffyverse character of your choice, rainbow. I fail at drabble. XD This is 142 words or something:

"Spike... you've seen a rainbow, right? I mean - obviously back when you were alive which is like, hundred of years ago. Literally."

He arches an eyebrow, but answers nonetheless. "'Course I have, pet. Why you askin'?"

She shrugs, smoothes a strand of hair behind one ear. "Just. It must sorta strange to not be able to go outside and see them when they're actually *there*. Or something."

A good-natured smile reaches his lips. "Doesn't seem like such a loss, really. I've still got shooting stars."

She smiles back at him. "At least there isn't a pot of gold at the end of them like it's said. Right?"

"No gold. There *are* leprechauns, though. Nasty little buggers. Taste absolutely horrid - sort of vinegary."

He decides not to comment on Dawn looking a little paler than usually after that tidbit of information.
